The North Lady Evelyn Loop is a premier wilderness canoe route within the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Park system, featuring pristine alpine lakes including the crystal-clear Sunnywater Lake and the stunning Florence Lake surrounded by towering pines and rugged hills. This challenging 7-10 day, 100+ km loop demands strong portaging ability as it connects multiple lakes through over a dozen arduous carries, rewarding paddlers with remote solitude, excellent camping, and access to Ontario's highest point (Ishpatina Ridge). Summer paddling through early fall is ideal, with excellent fishing for brook and lake trout.
