About

Hogan Lake is an interior lake in the central part of Algonquin Park. One approach starts at the Cedar Lake – Brent access point and goes up the Petawawa River past Stacks Rapids to Catfish Lake. From Catfish, paddlers reach Hogan either through Sunfish and Manta lakes, or by continuing up the Petawawa to Burntroot Lake and through Lake La Muir. Together these form the Hogan Lake Loop. Hogan can also be reached from the Lake Opeongo access point by way of Proulx Lake, the Crow River and Big Crow Lake.
