This challenging 4-7 day loop from Opeongo Access offers a scenic journey through stunning landscape featuring powerful winds on large lakes and the famous Crow River section. Paddle through Proulx, Little Crow, and Big Crow Lakes to reach the remarkable Crow River with its tight bends and white pine forests, continuing to Lake Lavieille for excellent wildlife viewing. The notorious 5.3 km Dickson-Bonfield portage demands respect and careful planning. Water taxi options reduce initial paddling. Best for experienced paddlers comfortable with portaging and lake exposure.
