About

The Cedar Lake – Brent access point is on the north shore of Cedar Lake, at the end of the gravel Brent Road, which runs 40 km south from Highway 17 just west of Deux Rivières. The Brent Campground is beside it. From Cedar Lake, paddlers go up the Petawawa River, where a 2,345 m portage climbs past Stacks Rapids to Narrowbag Lake, and on to Catfish and Burntroot lakes. The Nipissing River also flows into Cedar Lake, and downstream the Petawawa leads to Radiant Lake and Lake Travers. The Brent Crater Trail is 8 km north on the road.
