La Roulette Circuit (no. 30), La Vérendrye

Intermediate

About

The La Roulette Circuit (no. 30) is a 45 km loop in the central part of Réserve faunique La Vérendrye that Sépaq rates intermediate and schedules over three days and two nights. It starts and ends at the Canimina campground, and Sépaq recommends paddling clockwise. The loop ties together three large lakes, Grand Barrage, Canimina and Nichcotéa, using eight type A portages that add up to 1.5 km. Along the way Sépaq flags one shallow stretch, one section of strong current and two dams. There are 18 designated campsites about 1 km apart, and Sépaq points to good water quality and several attractive sites. As with every circuit in the reserve, the route must be reserved before you arrive, and Sépaq runs a paid shuttle from the canoe-camping registration centre to circuit starting points.
