The La Perche-Chartier Circuit (no. 78) is a 62 km advanced route in the northern part of Réserve faunique La Vérendrye, planned for four days and three nights. It starts at the Baie Barker campground, where the launch can no longer be reached by car, so a 350 m portage leads to the water. A 13.5 km out-and-back leg joins a 44.5 km loop paddled counterclockwise. Most of the trip is on large lakes, including Grand lac Victoria, Lac Chartier and Lac La Perche, with clear water and a beach in the northeast part of Baie des Missionnaires. There are three type A portages totalling 1.1 km and three type B portages totalling 580 m. Sépaq lists a whitewater section, Class II rapids (two of them shallow), three weirs and an impassable spot. Seven campsites lie about 6 km apart.
