About

The Shall Lake access point is on the Opeongo River between Farm and Crotch lakes, at the end of the Major Lake Road, 26.2 km north-west of the village of Madawaska on Highway 60. Upstream, the Opeongo River leads through Farm and Kitty lakes and short portages to Booth Lake, an easy overnight trip. Another route leaves Crotch Lake through Shirley, Ryan, Big Red and Shrew lakes to McKaskill Lake and continues toward Dickson Lake. Park ranger cabins on Farm Lake, McKaskill Lake and Tattler Lake are reached by canoe from this access point.
