The Kondiaronk Circuit (no. 16) is an 87 km loop in the southern part of Réserve faunique La Vérendrye, rated advanced by Sépaq and planned for seven days and six nights. Launch at the Le Domaine registration centre on Route 117 or at the Antostagan campground and travel counterclockwise. Portaging is a big part of the trip, with 19 type A portages adding up to 5 km plus three type B portages totalling 520 m. Sépaq's obstacle list includes rapids from Class I to Class III-IV, two of them met going upstream, two weirs, a waterfall, two logjams and one impassable section. Lac Jean-Péré and Lac Kondiaronk are tiring to cross in high wind. Sépaq describes the route as lightly travelled. Its 19 designated campsites are about 5 km apart, and Lac Kondiaronk has sandy shores worth a stop.
