The Severn River is a true wilderness paddling experience in far northern Ontario, flowing northeast through pristine boreal forest to Hudson Bay. This remote route features a mix of Class 2-3 rapids and scenic Shield landscape, with access available by floatplane to Severn River Provincial Park. Best paddled in summer (June-August) when water levels are manageable. Only for highly experienced canoeists comfortable with isolation and self-sufficiency.
