The Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve offers exceptional canoe-camping experiences across over 700 lakes and rivers, including lake-to-lake circuits and whitewater descents of the Rivière du Sourd. As Quebec's most southern wildlife reserve, it provides easy access from Montreal and Gatineau while maintaining pristine wilderness character. The reserve features established campsites, equipment rental, and excellent fishing for speckled and lake trout. Multiple entry points and registration centres provide good infrastructure, while the diverse terrain supports abundant wildlife viewing including moose, white-tailed deer, and numerous bird species.
