This 10-kilometer scenic section flows through a stunning canyon with bright autumn vegetation, featuring excellent eddy lines and surfing opportunities that make it ideal for skill development. Based out of the Ross River area, this short section packs big fun into 4 days of paddling. Access is straightforward via the Alaska Highway near Ross River, making it accessible for organized instruction trips. Best paddled in late summer (August-September) when water levels are manageable and weather permits.
