The Waterford Ponds are a chain of small lakes and ponds at Waterford North Conservation Area, 226 Concession 8 Townsend, near Waterford in Norfolk County. The conservation area's three main waters, Pickerel Lake, Willow Pond and Bass Lake, are calm and known for largemouth bass and northern pike. The provincial trail inventory maps a paddling route of about 4.6 km through the connected ponds, and the Long Point Region Conservation Authority notes that you can paddle on into the town of Waterford. The historic Black Bridge, a 166 m former railway bridge on the Waterford Heritage Trail, looks out over the ponds. The conservation area is open from May 1 to October 15, with day use from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and charges a day-use fee. It rents canoes and kayaks, and small motorboats up to 9.9 hp share the water.
