The upper river offers excellent fishing (named one of the world's top 10 fishing destinations), while the lower estuary features rare Atlantic Coastal Plain flora and exceptionally productive brackish waters. Intermediate skills recommended for headwater routes. Access the upper wilderness with guides; lower river and estuary accessible year-round with calm conditions.
