Restoule Provincial Park offers excellent paddling opportunities through a network of lakes and the scenic Restoule River, with options for both day trips and multi-day backcountry adventures. The park features 12 backcountry campsites on Stormy Lake and the Restoule River, with a longer 72km circuit route to Lake Nipissing and the French River system requiring 14 portages over 4-6 days. Highlights include paddling below the 100-metre-high 'Bluff' cliffs, exploring the historic Grawbarger Portage named after early settlers, and wildlife viewing opportunities for herons and deer. The river offers both gentle lake paddling for beginners and intermediate whitewater sections. Best accessed through the provincial park with canoe and kayak rentals available, excellent facilities, and well-maintained portage trails.
