Lebret Water Trail

About

The Village of Lebret Water Trail is an 11 km Trans Canada Trail paddling route on the lakes of the Qu'Appelle River, downstream of Fort Qu'Appelle. It links the village of Lebret, on Mission Lake, with Katepwa Point Provincial Park on Katepwa Lake. Mission Lake is named for the Catholic mission at Lebret, and together with Katepwa it makes up the lower two of the four Fishing Lakes, below Pasqua and Echo. Katepwa Point Provincial Park, at the downstream end of the water trail, has boat launches and an accessible paddling dock, and the District of Katepwa land trail starts there. The Trans Canada Trail map lists the water trail at 11.11 km. OpenStreetMap marks canoe launches at both ends, near Lebret and at the Katepwa end.
