Circuit Lapeyrère provides a 40-kilometer lake-based canoe-camping adventure through the pristine Portneuf Wildlife Reserve, starting from Lac Lapeyrère. This intermediate route features varied rapids from R-I to R-IV with 13 technical sections, 3 portages, and 4 designated campsites offering 3-5 tent capacity each. The circuit winds through protected wilderness forests and connects multiple lakes via historic portage routes, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Available mid-May through early September, this route offers true backcountry solitude with basic facilities and requires intermediate paddling skills for the more challenging rapid sections.
