Carroll Lake Route is accessed via the Sabourin Lake fly-in option in Woodland Caribou Provincial Park or through the Gammon River system, featuring a mixed paddling experience of lake-to-lake bedrock systems and meandering creek channels. This route offers choices between walleye or lake trout fishing, with excellent moose and caribou viewing opportunities depending on paddling direction. The longest portage is approximately 900 metres on Royd Lake approach. Fly-in access from Red Lake provides maximum flexibility; 4-7 day options available. Best for intermediate to experienced paddlers.
