The Bonnet Plume River is an exciting whitewater journey through the pristine Peel River Watershed, featuring Class II-IV rapids through Rockslide Canyon and spectacular mountain scenery. This Canadian Heritage River requires intermediate to advanced paddling skills as it winds 160 miles through roadless wilderness nearly the size of Scotland. Crystal-clear waters alternate between technical whitewater and serene stretches, with excellent hiking opportunities to alpine ridges. Access is by floatplane from Mayo to Bonnet Plume Lake, with the best conditions typically June-August.
