The Kishkebus Canoe Route is a 21-kilometer loop within Bon Echo Provincial Park that takes paddlers behind the massive Mazinaw Rock through 5 different lakes. This moderate difficulty route features 4 portages (including one challenging 1.5km carry) and offers a perfect introduction to multi-lake paddling and portaging skills without requiring full backcountry commitment. The route passes through cottage country in some sections but provides excellent practice for wilderness skills. Best paddled from late spring through early fall when water levels are adequate and weather conditions favorable.
