The Aux Feuilles (Leaf River) offers one of Quebec's most spectacular remote canoe journeys, flowing 480km from Lake Minto to Ungava Bay. This arctic river features continuous Class I-II rapids through stunning tundra landscapes with incredible wildlife viewing including massive caribou herds. The entire route is navigable without portages, though tidal effects near Tasiujaq village create unique challenges. Best paddled during the brief 60-day ice-free season with crystal-clear waters and dramatic northern scenery. Access requires charter flights making this an expensive but unforgettable wilderness expedition.
