The Rivière Boyer is an extensive paddling system in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, featuring 31 sets of rapids ranging from flatwater to Class 3, with one portage and 2 campsites. This tributary offers excellent skill progression opportunities from beginner warm-up rapids to challenging intermediate whitewater sections. The river provides good access through the COBARIC paddleable routes mapping project, flowing through typical southern Quebec mixed forest and agricultural landscapes. Variable water levels make spring through fall the most reliable seasons, with the extensive rapid count providing entertainment for day trips and overnight adventures.
