North Tea Lake is a large, remote lake accessed via the Amable du Fond River from Kawawaymog, offering windswept big-water paddling through Algonquin's northwest corner. This scenic 3-4 day route features beautiful campsites and opportunities for moose spotting, lake trout fishing, and exploring surrounding smaller lakes. The paddle is intermediate-level with manageable portages under 500m, though North Tea can get very windy quickly. Best paddled in summer months when water conditions are stable and bugs subside. Access is via a remote 36km gravel road from South River.
The difficulty of Access 14 (North Tea Lake Dam) River varies by section.
The best time is June-September.
Access 14 (North Tea Lake Dam) River is located in the Algonquin Provincial Park region of Canada.
